Fall is my favorite time of year! There is a chill in the air, and the landscape turns a bright orange and gold. The weather has been just beautiful, and it is time to get out and enjoy this beautiful state of ours!!! If you aren't looking at homes, how about spending the day at one of the many pumpkin patches/fall festivals in our area? Whether you are looking to pop in for an hour and grab a pumpkin, or spend an entire day having a good ol' time with the entire gang, here are 10 Pumpkin Patches in the area, both big and small, that our team recommends checking out… (We also added PetOberfest on October 17th to the list, because it supports the Prince William SPCA, and we think it is worth a look as well). Have fun and enjoy yourselves!!!


Fall Festival & Pumpkin Playground

Children of all ages enjoyed our event last year and we hope that you will join us this year. Our activities are designed to be both fun and educational for all. Each paid admission receives a small carvable patch pumpkin and hay rides (wheel chair accessible).

Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga

The Temple Hall Fall Festival & Corn Maize

Featuring a variety of exciting and interactive activities for the entire family and the only 24-acre corn maize on the East Coast! This year get lost in our maize design with a fun Wild West theme, launch a pumpkin 100 yards through the air, massive jumping pillows, paintball shooting gallery, pig races, hayrides and plenty of great food!

Pumpkin Village @ Leesburg Animal Park

Through November 3rd 2015, this event has been held for sixteen years and continues to offer something for everyone, including a soft play shooting gallery where kids can shoot at various targets, a new zip line, canon ball blaster, and a corn bin that kids can roll around in. This year there is also a new baby Serval kitten and a Laughing Kookaburra. Come on out to this education, and unique, fall event. Entrance to The Leesburg Animal Park is included with the purchase of a Pumpkin Village ticket.



Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center

Located in Woodbridge, Virginia just off I-95 at the Rippon Landing Exit (156A)

WHEN: Saturday, October 17, 2015 from Noon – 4pm

All are welcome to attend and enjoy free family and pet friendly activities including: a pet parade, pet contests, pet-friendly exhibitors, a fashion show, children's entertainment, store discounts, prizes, and much more. Pet photo booth donations will benefit the Prince William SPCA. All pets in attendance must be leashed.

Pumpkin Patch at Lake Ridge Nursery

Open Through October 31 , the Pumpkin Patch has many play activities for kids, including moon bounces, rope swing, zip line, slides, wooden jungle gyms, castle, pirate ship, airplane, tee pee, and ball crawl inflatable, and a 40' foot batman inflatable. New this year is a 40' inflatable obstacle course. In addition to all the fall play activities for the kids, we have a concession stand as well. Prices are $1 - $3.50. Featuring hamburgers and hotdogs, popcorn, caramel apples and fresh apples from local orchards.


Belvedere Plantation

Belvedere Plantation is a 645-acre heritage farm, built in the 1760s on the historic Rappahannock River near Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Fall Festival includes such activities as Dangerfield Downs, Zip Lines, Straw Jump, Pumpkin Cannon, Trik Track, Pumpkin Mountain Slide, Spider Web, Little Pedal Carts, Extreme Pedal Carts, Jumping Pillow, Barrel Train, Pony Rides, Flower Cutting, and of course, Pumpkins!

Clarks Farm

Activities include: farm animals, a hay mountain, large maze, face painting, pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, great cutouts for photos, a moon-bounce, and pony rides on weekends. Food, hot apple cider, and specialty craft items sold on premises. Price of admission includes a pumpkin!
